Custom Rubber Car Mats Australia

Premium custom-fit rubber car mats

LUXMAT custom-fit coil rubber car mats are engineered to your exact make, model and year. Built in Campbellfield, Victoria from coil rubber — tougher than carpet, cleaner than PVC, and precision-moulded to fit every Australian vehicle.

Coil rubber is a dense looped fibre over a flexible rubber backing. It traps dirt, sand and water in the channels rather than letting it spread across your floor. The result is a mat that hoses clean in seconds, stays flexible across Australian temperature swings, and outlasts the universal stock mats most vehicles ship with.

Coil rubber vs PVC, carpet and 3D plastic car mats

PVC car mats are cheap and lightweight, but PVC stiffens and cracks in Australian heat, holds odours, and traps moisture against the floor. Most universal-fit shelf mats are PVC.

Carpet mats look refined when new and quiet under foot — but absorb mud, sand and water quickly. Stains and smells set in fast. Best reserved for low-traffic, dry-weather use.

3D plastic and TPE mats have tall raised edges and hold shape well, but the hard plastic feel and limited cushion makes them unforgiving on long drives — and they don’t conform as precisely as moulded rubber.

LUXMAT coil rubber sits in the middle ground: flexible like rubber, structured like 3D plastic, and washable like neither carpet nor PVC. The coil channels actively trap debris instead of pushing it around.

Custom-fit for your exact make, model and year

Universal mats fit nothing properly. They slip under the pedals, gap around the seat rails, and bunch up at the firewall. LUXMAT is engineered from OEM reference data per vehicle — including variant-specific details like Mach-E versus ICE, captain’s seat versus bench, and dual-cab versus single-cab.

We currently produce custom-fit sets for over 190 Australian vehicles, with new fitments added as models release.

Frequently Asked Questions

Rubber car mats — and specifically coil rubber like LUXMAT — use a dense, looped fibre over a flexible rubber backing. The coil structure traps dirt, sand and water in the channels rather than letting it spread across your floor. PVC car mats are cheaper and lighter, but become brittle in heat, hold odours, and feel stiff underfoot. Coil rubber stays flexible across Australian temperature swings and is easier to keep clean.

For everyday use in Australian conditions, yes. Carpet mats look refined when new but absorb mud, water and sand quickly — and the smell stays. Rubber mats wipe or hose clean in seconds and don’t trap moisture against your vehicle’s floor pan. If you cover long highway kilometres in dry weather, carpet can still be a fine choice; for everything else, rubber wins on longevity and hygiene.

A genuine custom-fit mat is moulded to the exact contours of your vehicle’s floor pan and matches the original factory clip points. If a mat needs trimming, slips under the pedals, or leaves gaps around the seat rails, it isn’t custom-fit. LUXMAT mats are engineered from OEM reference data for each make, model and year — including variant-specific details like Mach-E versus ICE, captain’s seat versus bench, and dual-cab versus single-cab.

Yes. LUXMAT is designed and manufactured in Campbellfield, Victoria, by Ultimate Auto Co. — backed by more than 35 years of OEM-grade vehicle-fit engineering. Australian-made manufacturing means we control fit and quality directly rather than relying on imported, one-size-fits-all stock.

A well-built coil rubber set should last the lifetime of your vehicle — typically 8 to 15 years of daily use. LUXMAT mats are UV-stable, won’t crack or curl in heat, and are washable, so they hold their original appearance well past the 18-to-24-month replacement cycle most universal mats need.
